In our school district, most elementary schools are on a year round school year. Every 9 weeks, we "track off". Generally the 'off-track' period is 3 weeks. Just enough time for the kids to start driving their parents nutso. Generally after 2 weeks, I've been ready to send my kids back to school. I always thought I would absoloutely hate the year round program, but I've learned to like it.
Kyra was 'off track' this last week. You would think that at this time of year, it would be fun to be off track because the weather is nice. Unfortunately, our winter didnt' know Spring was supposed to start. It has rained a TON and even snowed a few times! This last week, we FINALLY had some nice weather ..so we went to the park. We brought a couple of our friends with us too. The kids RAN and RAN and had a great time. What a great combination....good weather....good friends....lots of fun!
